Fort Wayne Conference Helps Miltary Couples Build a Stronger Marriage

As we leave Fort Wayne Indiana, having just completed our “Fortified” military marriage conference, I am reminded of how fortunate we are to have met such wonderful military couples.  These military couples represent some of the finest men and women who serve our country as members of the United States Reserves and Indiana Guard.  The 20 plus couples who registered came to the Ft. Wayne conference hoping  to discover the secret of how to build a stronger marriage.  I think the facts speak for themselves:  Over 95% of the couples either made a re-commitment to the Christian faith and/or their marriage.  One couple commented, “by attending the conference, it helped us see that we are not alone.”  Another couple said of the conference, “this conference allowed us to connect and grow in ways we never have before.” And another couple commented that “it was nice to be part of a marriage conference with a military component but yet applied to veteran’s and civilians.”

As we complete more of these marriage conferences, we are seeing a growing desire from military couples wanting to be connected with other military couples.  “These couples desperately need a supportive community of people who understand what they go through and who can speak to their struggles from experience,” said Hedrick.  Centurion’s Watch will be beginning an new initiative in 2013 to help address this growing desire.

Stayed tuned to our website for a listing of the 2013 conference schedule.  We are hoping to double of the amount of conferences offered, including possibly going to Atlanta in the Spring of 2013.
