Couple Recipe Ideas That Will Have You Seeing Hearts

A recipe for date night success. . .

Sometimes keeping it simple is better.  And when it comes to romance, staying home every once in a while can be exactly what you need.  Have you ever heard “sex” begins in the kitchen? Popularized by Dr. Kevin Leman, in his book under the same title, is the idea that the “expression of care a couple shows each other in all areas of life–in communicating, sharing thoughts and feelings, and even in helping out around the house, couples can create new joy and excitement in their relationship and make it more satisfying both emotionally and physically.”

My marriage is always stronger when we are communicating more often and taking time to do some fun things together.  Just last night we went to a Gala where we got all dressed up, listened to some great music, and had a very nice dinner.  We don’t get to do this type of thing very often, but when we do, it just has a way of adding a boost to our relationship.  If you’ve read my blogs for very long, you know I like to suggest different things that I feel will add some “life” back into your marriage.  Cooking in the kitchen can do just that. Whether you like to cook or not, just trying new things together, even if not perfect, can really make a difference.

So I have found some recipe ideas that I can’t wait to try with Ally, and I wanted to pass the best along to you.  As I said in my opener, sometimes simple is better, and these recipes aren’t overly involved and should be great to create — and eat — together.  So whether you wait until the kids go to bed or you just create an entire romantic evening at home, I hope you enjoy these ideas.
